A hydria is a water vase that was used in ancient Greece.  The first and second graders designed some hydria depicting their favorite Greek myths.  Much of what we know about the ancient Greeks comes from their artwork, including painted pots like these.  The tops and bottoms of the vessels were decorated with geometric designs, and the center shows stories of gods, goddesses and Greek warriors.
